It is in a hurry to flower on short scrappy stems. If you do nothing, the plant will flower, set seed and stop trying to grow. If you pick off those flowers for the first 4-6 weeks after transplant you will eventually start to see long strong stems forming. Once they start, you can expect them to keep putting out new stems as long as you keep cutting them back. They will never be huge, but they can be usable.
